"The journey with money is fundamentally a journey into the heart of God. By engaging our questions and concerns about money in the light of our faith and community, we create a sacred space in which the H
oly Spirit can gently and definitively uproot one of our favorite idols - money - and replace it with a radical trust in the love of God. When that happens, hearts burst open and the flow of money to and through us is radically transformed. Our resources are no longer peripheral or even impediments to our walk with Christ, but icons that draw us, our communities, and our economic systems deeper into the heart of God's grace." - Rosemary Feerick
Often wealthy Christians who are asking questions about economic justice and who are trying to discern what God
is calling them to do with
their wealth lack spiritual community around these issues. Our retreats are an opportunity for Christians of exceptional wealth to get to know each other and Harvest Time staff in a safe, non-judgmental environment. It is here we offer
a genuine network of support, encouragement, challenge and inspiration as we strive to become more faithful disciples.
Together we:
-
Share about the realities of where we are with Jesus and with money in an atmosphere of extravagant love.
-
Respond to the challenges of biblical justice.
-
Listen more deeply to what the Spirit is inviting us to do with our wealth. The primary purpose of our gatherings is not fundraising. If people are led to give money to the poor through Harvest Time or another ministry after this event, that is wonderful, but our primary goal is transformation of hearts and lives.
-
Consider becoming a part of a community of wealthy Christians that meets on an ongoing basis.
Examples of the kinds of questions we explore together:
-
Where are you with Jesus at this stage of your life?
-
How do you experience Christ’s presence?
-
Which of Jesus’ economic challenges are stirring in your heart?
-
Are you longing to respond to Jesus and to the needs of the world with your wealth? Are you already doing this? What might be keeping you from responding even more deeply? What would help you become free to respond more deeply?
Examples of guiding Scripture:
Values we associate with this process:
-
Listening – to the Spirit, ourselves and the wisdom of community.
-
Hospitality – together we will attempt to create a circle where it is safe for the soul to show up.
-
Humility and Authenticity – We will welcome the hard, uncomfortable emotions, assumptions, and projections that may get kicked up in this process with compassion and curiosity – knowing that sometimes what we most need to hear is what we may be tempted to ignore or silence.
-
Mutuality and Respect – We will welcome with gratitude the gifts and insight of all those called to sit in this circle.
-
Justice – Our hope is serving the God of love who hears the cries of all people, and who invites us to come together to co-create a world where all have enough.
-
Extravagant Love – As with all Harvest
Time circles, we hope that extravagant love will be the fragrance found in the room. We will treat ourselves and others with compassion and will put love ahead of our need to be or do things right.
-
Gratitude and Joy – We will savor and
celebrate moments of grace.
If this invitation sounds like hilarious (or terrifying) good news, please be in touch with us soon!

Every
child
has known God,
Not the God of names,
Not the God of don’ts.
Not the God who ever does
anything weird,
But the God who only knows four words,
And keeps repeating them, saying:
“Come dance with Me.”
Come,
Dance.
